When I think about what I want for Christmas it's usually a mix of something I can use and something cute and cozy. This cardigan sold out during the nordstrom anniversary sale but good news, it's baaaack! I literally wear it almost every day at work, it's so cozy and soft (I have it in the charcoal as pictured. Love it!)

Hunter boots are a splurge and would make a great gift for someone who has always wanted a pair but doesn't own one.

I live in a cold and wet climate so a cute beanie is a must! I like the ones with pom poms like this one and this one (less expensive.)

I think Christmas is the perfect time to give something with a little glitter or sparkle and these heels would be perfect to wear on New Year's Eve or for a holiday party!  Or you could go for this water bottle which is under $25 and would make a cute gift for your friend who loves to workout :)

The last thing I want to mention is the MAC lipstick and lip liner duo, it's a great deal because the lipstick and liner by themselves are usually $17.50 EACH and you get both the lipstick and liner for $27. This is a great deal!

Winter Wardrobe Building

Hey friends! Happy Humpday! One week until Thanksgiving, woohoo!! You know what that means... A little over a week until Black Friday starts! I'll be going over allll the Black Friday deals in another post, but today I want to help you get ready for winter! Winter is in full swing here in Seattle and Christmas is just around the corner. It will be here before you know it! It's time to take inventory of your winter wardrobe and figure out what you already have, what you're missing, and what you really want to upgrade or replace so you can start making your Christmas wishlist (and checking it twice!) I'll walk you through which items you need for your winter wardrobe and which you might be able to forgo.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love taking the time around the holidays to think about all that I have to be thankful for and to rejoice in spending time with my family, friends and loved ones! I recently cleaned out my closet (which felt AMAZING by the way!!) and I made a point to touch every single piece of clothing that I own to determine whether or not it still brought me joy or was something I could use. In my opinion, it's important to cultivate a wardrobe that is a mix of high end and low end pieces. Fast fashion can keep you trendy, but there's some pieces that never go out of style, like ballet flats, turtle necks and cigarette pants. If you're working on your long-term wardrobe, these are some items to ask Santa for to get you started!

I have the power stone bracelet and it's truly so perfect for stacking since it's so light and dainty and would make a great gift for a sister or friend. Christmas Gift Guide $100 and Under

Happy Friday lovelies!! It's December and I'm so excited because it's only 23 days until Christmas! I have my Christmas countdown blocks up on my desk at work and we decorated the office and it feels so festive and fun!

I'm going to be doing a series of gift guides at different price points over the coming weeks, $100 and under, $50 and under, $25 and under, etc. While this time of year isn't about presents, it can feel really good to give a thoughtful gift to someone you love.

Here are some ideas to help you get started!

I love the unique Monogram Glass Terrarium  for someone who loves succulents and plants, and how cute and cozy is that North Face fleece jacket? I've had my North Face fleeces literally for ten years (I got them in high school) and they are still in excellent condition. They are expensive but will last you a long time. A lot of the colors/sizes are selling out but this print is really cute and still available!

I asked my boyfriend for the Love Code Charm Necklace - it has a "secret message" on it - you have to spin it to be able to read the message. How sweet is that? Something about it is really romantic :)

Also I'm a sucker for boots, and I was really excited when I saw these are 25% off! They're normally $100 but they're on sale for $75! Woohoo! I love sales!

Sale + Fall Must Haves!

There is a sale going on at Nordstrom right now ladies and it ends in four days! Up to 40% off many cute items you'll want for fall! Throw on a pair of cuffed jeans, a cute pullover sweater like the green one I linked above or this v-neck sweater, some ankle boots and you're good to go! I'm also a fan of ponchos and they're not as hard to wear as you might think. Wear them over a t-shirt and pair them with jeans and some otk boots. Many ponchos I've seen lately are also doubling as scarves. So if you try it out and aren't sure how to pull it off as a poncho, wear it as a scarf!

Black Friday sales are starting earlier and earlier... but I'm not complaining! Seriously loving the items above, almost all of which are on sale for $9.99 or less. The few that aren't are under $18. I had a second pair of Christmas jammies picked out this morning but they've already sold out. Sales like this are a great way to stock up on basics like flannels and scarves, or find a Christmas gift for someone special in your life without breaking the bank. It's easy to get caught up in spending excessive amounts of money at this time of year, but I purposefully keep lists of items I truly want and look for great opportunities to save. Happy FriYAY everybody!! What do you all have planned for this weekend? I can't WAIT to see Mockingjay Part 2 - oh em geeee seriously so excited! SH and I will be celebrating his bday and perhaps doing some holiday shopping... And speaking of holiday shopping... so the gift guides continue! This guide features gifts that are $25 or less. They are stocking stuffer size, although many of these would be fabulous standalone gifts :) I personally own the Smashbox eyeshadow and I love it - it's the perfect size for travel or throwing in your purse for touchups, and has a lovely mix of warm and cool shades. It's the most wonderful time of the year! I know what you might be thinking... But it's not even Thanksgiving yet! Holiday shopping is starting earlier and earlier every year, sometimes even before Halloween! I support early shopping, because I think it encourages people to create monthly holiday shopping budgets and stick to them. Holiday shopping can get expensive, but it doesn't have to be! Maple and Mint Quick Tip: Space out your gift buying so you don't break the bank, and stick to a strict holiday shopping budget. Don't let yourself overspend (as hard as that might be.) It's just not worth it! To make things less awkward during gift exchanges between friends or coworkers, set a spending limit, so one person doesn't give an extravagant gift that's not matched by the other. 

These are some of my all-time favorite items to gift this season. Your girlfriends are gonna love 'em!

Hello and happy hump day! Are you constantly impressed with the insane handbag collections that huge name bloggers have?! I know I am. I'm swooning with bag envy (in a good way) over every other Instagram photo. The leather, the shapes, the colors, the functionality, the style, oh it all makes me swoon! I love handbags so much! My "splurge" picks are the ones I would LOVE to have in my closet if I had, you know, $2500 to spend on EACH handbag...  see the "save" picks for some cheaper versions of those styles! What do you think of my picks? (Just a side note- The Kate Spade bag under "splurge" is almost $300 and the Michael Kors bag under "save" is also $300. This is the same amount of money. It's all about how you spend it! I consider a $300 prada-look alike a "save" and a $300 red Kate Spade satchel a splurge. It's all about how you look at something and choose to spend your money!)

Fall Style cravings, anyone? I don't know about you but I am having serious fall fashion fever. All I can think about is prepping my closet for colder weather (which, let's be real, never really happens in LA.)
